Post-sowing management is very important. The following provides seven aspects of management elements, including: drilling holes for ventilation, root loosening, pruning, weed control, fertilization, irrigation and reseeding.
1
Punch holes for ventilation
This is to poke some small holes in the lawn to provide sufficient oxygen for the roots. The quality of your lawn can be improved by doing this 2-3 times a year.
2
Pine roots
Remove dead leaves and pesticide residues from the lawn, allowing the grass to breathe freely to reduce the chance of fungal and disease infection. Pine roots can be applied once in spring and autumn.
3
Mowing
Mowing 2-3 times a week can keep the lawn texture dense and elastic. But please note that mowing does not mean mowing too low. Decorative lawns should be kept at a height of 2-4 cm, and recreational lawns should be between 4-5 cm. If you find mowing your lawn troublesome, Bailu Group also provides you with a low-maintenance lawn seed mix that includes special breeding materials and slow-growing grass seeds.
4
Precision weed control
Isolates weeds from competing for nutrients, ensuring the purity of the lawn.
Thoroughly remove broadleaf weeds, creeping weeds, and annual weeds to ensure that the native turf has exclusive growth resources; maintain the purity and consistency of the turf and prevent weed patches from damaging the landscape of the field; reduce insect eggs and pathogens carried by weeds and lower the risk of turf maintenance.
5
Fertilize as needed
Replenish soil nutrients and promote healthy lawn growth.
It replenishes nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and trace elements, repairs lawn damage caused by mechanical compaction and trampling; enhances lawn color, making the grass blades lush and thick; and strengthens the lawn’s resistance to cold, drought, and pests, allowing it to weather the heat of summer and the cold of winter.
6
Proper irrigation
Precise watering to balance lawn soil moisture.
Replenish the water needed for lawn growth in a timely manner to alleviate drought stress; coordinate with fertilization, aeration, sand covering, and mowing to accelerate lawn self-repair; regulate surface temperature, cool down in summer, moisturize in winter, and buffer against damage from extreme weather.
7
Regular reseeding
Repairs bald patches on lawns and maintains intact turf for a long time.
Fill in gaps and bald patches in the lawn to restore its integrity; replace aging grass with weak old grass to enhance the overall vitality of the lawn; and reseed with cold-resistant grass seeds in autumn and winter to ensure that the golf course lawn remains evergreen and free from yellowing throughout the year.
